Corde savvy de 6 pieds
One String. Many Uses!
You can find the Parelli 6-Foot Savvy String most often at the end of a Carrot Stick, helping you get your horse's respect during groundwork.
In addition, it can aid in building your horse's confidence or be used around your horse's neck to aid you in your journey to bridle-less riding.
Tom Dorrance inspired me when he said, "If I can't get it done with just this (piece of baling twine!), I'm not interested. I don't go anywhere without at least two Savvy Strings in my pocket". Pat Parelli
- Put it around your horse's neck.
- Use it instead of a bit (a Cherokee bridle!).
- Lead with it.
- Tie your doggie.
- Make an emergency belt.
- You name it!
Pat says that you should always have a pocket knife and a Savvy String on your person when you are around horses.
Special Note - Parelli Levels Program:
Because of his martial arts background, Pat Parelli came up with the concept of awarding people specific color strings for their achievement in his Horse-man-ship Levels program.
Everyone in the Parelli Program starts with a white string, and as you achieve a level, you are awarded a special colored string. Red for Level 1, Blue for Level 2, Green for Level 3, and Black for Level 4. They are also available for purchase by official graduates only.
Very good quality.
Was ordered as replacement because I thought my old tool got lost. Old tool is in use since many years and often. Stick and string. WIth stick good and sensitive tool to lead the horse. Covers all variants from sensitiv stroking and if sporadically necessary als to touch the horse as step 4 of Parelli. Accepted as support with sometimes respect but never event a hint of fear by all horses I work with. Can also easily be removed from stick to use the stick alone. So no extra whip is necessary. And also used as rains. Very, very versatile. By my current horse, a playful one with his mouth, often nibbled on without damage
6-Foot Savvy String
These savvy strings are well made and easy to use, very flexible and smooth .
The 6' savvy string is definitely a piece of essential equipment. Not only to use on the end of the carrot stick but helpful in other ways too, like making an "emergency" halter, tie a gate or stall door shut if the latch is broken, loop it around your horses neck to lead him from one place or another, etc. Love the popper on the end too as it comes in handy at times. ;)
