Salty is a son of Sailing Smart, 3 times world champion reining horse, and has been Caton Parelli’s long-time partner.
Caton has developed him in all 4 Savvys, beginning the day he was born by foal imprinting him and continuing with his first rides as well. Salty excels in a variety of western disciplines from ranch versatility to working cows, to roping. He’s been on a multitude of trail rides up every mountain on our Colorado ranch and is also quite a talented jumper!
Salty had been ridden by professionals and amateurs alike and all agree he is the real deal! Salty is unregistered due to a mistake with his mother’s paperwork, but his pedigree is impeccable and traces back to Scamp, Pat’s super mare from the ’80s and ’90s.
