I received a 5" C3 instead of the 51/2". So no, I cannot say I'm pleased at this time.
I was using a c2 cradle on my mare. I believe the c3 is a better bit for her. I so far have only used it a few times but like the results.
It took a bit (!!!) to get the ensemble to make up the cradle bridle but I'm pleased to have my own gear instead of borrowing from the trainer during lessons with my very own mustang mare! Love the workmanship on the headstall!
This bit was for a horse who likes to hide and go behind the vertical with his curb bit, thus throwing his weight on his front end. We had him in a borrowed C3, and after a couple of times of that behavior each ride, he would balance himself up and not do it anymore, so we got him his own C3. Here’s hoping we can interrupt that pattern until he finds a more comfortable and balanced way to travel.
