Trickster was born on St. Patrick's Day—the same day Pat Parelli was born!

Pat first named him Trick so that when they were together, they could be Pat and Trick, but he had so many tricks in him, we accelerated his name to Trickster!

High spirited and challenging? Yes! With the great foundation that Pat personally gave him and hundreds of hours of work, he has finally become dependable enough for Pat to allow his son Caton, who has a disability, to ride him on trail rides and gather cattle.

Trickster's sire is Blue One Time and his dam is a daughter of Highbrow Cat—in other words, a perfect pedigree for a cutting horse!

Pat loves to play with Trickster at liberty while riding his favorite mare, Magic's Mirror, and he has also used him for ranch work and roping.
