We make our metal clips and snaps with top quality brass, but even the best can falter once in a while. With that in mind, we carry snaps to be used both as replacements or simply back-ups, just in case. You can never be too prepared!
At 1200 lbs of pressure, our snap will break. The break weight is there so the snap will break if the horse pulls back, gets tangled, or falls while being tied rather than the horse being severely hurt or killed.
This heavy-duty brass snap can be used to replace snaps on current: 9', 12' and 22' rope products.
